Missions
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Account Manager (AM) is part of the Global Commodity Finance / GCF Energy team in Geneva (CH). Along with Relationship Managers (RMs) he actively participates to the maintenance of client relationships with energy commodity traders, by originating transactions and monitoring the related risks (credit, market, operational, compliance, fraud).
Thanks to his direct and daily contacts with customers, the AM contributes to enhance the client relationship, develop market intelligence, detect risks and identify new business opportunities.
SPECIFIC JOB-RELATED ACTIVITIES
- Originates of international commodity trading operations to be financed in the frame of customers’ commodity finance facilities ;
- Presents transactional business opportunities to the appropriate committees and ensures their compliance with authorized lines ;
- Monitors the evolution of transactional risk in the context of financed operations and the management of customers' economic positions ;
- Ensures the optimal use of customers’ credit facilities along with RMs ;
- Ensures that the bank's security interests in financed transactions are properly accounted for ;
- Participates in the preparation of credit applications for the transactional part, in line with the customer's uses and needs ;
- Prepares reports on risks incurred and controls carried out ;
- Ensures a high quality of customer service ;
- Participate in the collection of market information concerning GCF customers and share it with colleagues and internal stakeholders ;
- Be proactive in updating information on vessel tracking and verification, inventory status, price risk monitoring and hedging, where applicable ;
- Coordinates documentary credits between the customer and the Bank's various departments.

- Detects malfunctions and alerts through the normal incident reporting process.

Expérience
- Knowledge of the regulatory constraints in force within the Group and Indosuez in terms of compliance and related procedures ;
- Knowledge of tools and procedures for managing the risks associated with his / her activity for customers and for the bank ;
- Knowledge / expertise of energy markets (oil liquids, natural gas / LNG, carbons) and energy trading players ;
- Similar function in another bank of the Commodity industry, or strong experience as trade finance / operator officer with an energy commodity player ;
- Good understanding of the mechanisms of commodity finance including the bank trade instruments (Doc LCs, SBLCs, guarantees) and the way to mitigate trade-related risks ;
- Knowledge of the regulatory constraints in force within the industry notably in terms of compliance and international sanctions.
