Sanctions Specialist
Our Sanctions Compliance Department is looking for a Sanctions officer, with a previous experience in Private Banking international sanctions and KYC / AML domains, to join the Swiss Compliance Sanctions team (Geneva, Zurich or Lugano).
Main responsibilities
- Manage the implementation of the International Sanctions framework, as per internal policies and national and international regulation;
- Provide Sanctions Risk assessments and recommendations to FLoD and to SLoD;
- Take timely, appropriate, and effective measures to prevent sanctions risks, including support to the onboarding, periodic reviews, transaction monitoring and name screening processes;
- Take action and decisions regarding Sanctions risks in due time and immediately, when necessary;
- Escalate to Group Compliance Sanctions hits or related major issues;
- Preparation of management reports for internal use and to Group Compliance;
- Provision of Sanctions related declarations;
- Manage ad hoc requests from Group Compliance
Skills and experience
- 3+ years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance;
- Fluent in English both written and spoken, German, French and / or Italian are a plus;
- CAS in Compliance and / or other specialized certificates are a plus;
- Sound knowledge of the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering regulatory framework;
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills;
- Capability to question with sound judgement and discretion;
- Ability to work independently and with the team towards common goals;
- Flexibility and resourcefulness;
- Fast learner;
- Able to take action and decisions
