The selected consultancy will be primarily working on supporting WWF's work in the EU Platform on Sustainable Finance (PSF) under its third mandate (running through the end of 2027) and with the Independent Science Based Taxonomy (ISBT) initiative. The assignment will anchor WWF's technical engagement on the EU Taxonomy and will involve the following (full Terms of Reference in the attached document):
Providing technical support to WWF's engagement in the PSF
Participating in the Independent Science Based Taxonomy initiative
Conducting technical analysis of EU Taxonomy criteria and disclosures and developing recommendations
Monitoring related EU sustainable finance files (SFDR, CSRD, Retail Finance, Transition Plans)
Coordinating internally across the WWF Network and externally with relevant NGO coalitions and EU institutions
Supporting WWF's sustainable finance advocacy and communication work.
Selection criteria:
Deep expertise in EU sustainable finance regulation, in particular the EU Taxonomy Regulation and its delegated acts
Demonstrated familiarity with the Platform on Sustainable Finance, its workstreams and working methods
Proven track record in engaging with EU institutions, civil society partners and financial-sector stakeholders
Strong analytical capacity on Taxonomy Technical Screening Criteria and Article 8 disclosure framework
Well established NGO contacts, and networks in the EU sustainable finance policy ecosystem
Excellent written and spoken English; additional EU languages an asset.
