Your ‘day to day’

As the Sr Scientist Consumer Sciences Projects you will represent the End-to- End Consumer Sciences support in projects for a given platform/program in R&D to guide and develop the right tools for accurate measurements, while providing seamless and competitive Consumer centric testing programs for R&D, incorporating consumer insights into fit for purpose speedy innovation. You will also oversee the technical coordination for the highly cross-functional projects where the core development component is the overall product & sensory experience from a consumer perspective.

More specifically, you'll

  • Act as advocate of the consumers on global projects to translate consumer needs into technical targets. Drive the development of the full Consumer testing regime in research projects. Coordinate internal project team members (SMEs from the different Sciences of Consumer Sciences) and external partners (where applicable) to guide R&D teams to develop consumer relevant products, experiences and measures.
  • Provide technical and scientific leadership for Clinical and RWE studies by designing and implementing COA strategies and behavioral science methodologies, serving as the central specialist and point of contact throughout end-to-end execution.
  • Design, develop, and implement new or improved behavioral methodologies and processes to support Product Science (R&D) research, working cross functionally with diverse R&D teams.
  • Lead strategic and managerial responsibilities, including proposing new research areas, advancing assessment frameworks, and shaping the methodological roadmap for Behavioral Science and COA.
  • Ensure high‑quality, compliant study delivery by maintaining scientific rigor, operational excellence, and adherence to PMI and regulatory standards.

Who we’re looking for

  • PhD or equivalent experience in behavioral, health, or social sciences (Psychology, Social Sciences, Survey Methodology, Psychometrics, Public Health, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology or a closely related field).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in R&D environment, in the field of pharmaceutical, tobacco, food, or cosmetics industries.
  • Demonstrated experience with COA development and validation projects. Sound knowledge of COA requirements for regulatory agencies, including understanding of the US FDA Patient Reported Outcomes Guidance.
  • Sound ability to collaborate, engage, communicate and present in multi-functional environments.
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
