Role Overview The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of embedded software for UAV systems and associated hardware platforms while supporting the tools, test systems and processes used to validate and manufacture our products.
The role requires a combination of expertise in embedded software development, hardware-integrated testing, distributed software systems and software quality practices.
Key Responsibilities Develop embedded software for UAV products, payloads, simulators and related systems.
Design and implement software tools that support the production, validation and testing of hardware products.
Participate in the development and maintenance of automated test benches using Python and C/C++.
Contribute to software architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
Collaborate with hardware engineers, product management and customer support teams to improve product quality and user experience.
Assist in troubleshooting technical issues identified during product development, testing and production activities.
Support the deployment, installation and operator training of test equipment at manufacturing sites when required.
Participate in flight test activities and product validation programs as needed.
Ensure software quality through code reviews, automated testing, static analysis and unit test coverage.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development, testing and quality assurance processes.
Required Qualifications Education Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Distributed Systems, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience developing software in C and C++.
Experience working with embedded systems and hardware/software interfaces.
Experience developing software tools for testing, validation or automation.
Experience working with Linux-based development environments.
Experience using version control systems, CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices.
Technical Skills Advanced C and C++ programming.
Python development for automation and testing.
Embedded systems development.
Software testing and validation methodologies.
Git and CI/CD workflows.
Linux development environments.
Understanding of distributed software systems and network communications.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in UAV, aerospace, robotics, industrial automation, IoT or connected-device industries.
Experience with wireless communication systems or wireless sensor networks.
Experience supporting manufacturing or production operations.
Knowledge of cloud-connected or edge-computing architectures.
French language skills.
