About our client
For our client, an internationally active biopharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Central Switzerland, we are looking for a Senior Specialist Strategy & Operational Excellence (m/f/d). The site specializes in biologics drug substance manufacturing for early-phase clinical supply and is known for combining cutting-edge technology with a strong culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Your responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize and drive improvement initiatives that simplify and standardize manufacturing and business processes, accelerating timelines from process characterization to first-in-human supply
- Scope and facilitate Lean / Six Sigma projects that cut cost, effort and complexity, while coaching colleagues on site to question the status quo
- Establish and govern standard work across manufacturing and business processes and share best practices within the wider network
- Drive integrated planning for the site and support mid- and long-term facility and capacity planning, including investment evaluations
- Define, track and visualize KPIs, building automated business intelligence reports that give leadership clear, actionable insights
- Digitize planning processes and roll out program-agnostic digital tools and real-time metrics that flag operational risks early
- Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, technical, supply chain, engineering, EHS and training teams to align priorities and implement sustainable improvements
- Support GMP documentation reviews and act as a key contact for EHS, compliance and training topics, including acting as Site Area Training Coordinator when needed
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology, data analytics, industrial engineering, supply chain, business operations, life sciences, biotechnology or a related field
- Hands-on experience in operational excellence, process improvement, data analytics or performance management within a regulated manufacturing or comparable technical environment
- Confident in defining and tracking KPIs, analyzing quantitative data and translating insights into concrete improvement projects
- Practical know-how in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, standard work or visual management methods
- Comfortable working with dashboards, business intelligence tools or digital workflows to support data-driven decisions
- Familiarity with GMP requirements, quality systems and inspection-readiness principles in biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to coach and influence colleagues without formal authority
- Excellent communication skills in English; a safety certification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH or Swiss Safety Officer) is a plus
