MKS PAMPGenève, SwitzerlandThe mission of Front Office Trade Support is to provide operational and technical support to traders, ensuring that trades are executed, settled, and reconciled correctly. The role includes monitoring trade flow, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role is essential in supporting traders, back office, and operations teams to run smoothly, acting as problem-solvers, and ensuring that trades are accurately processed and settled on time. This role is crucial in upholding operational integrity and enhancing our trading success.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Trade Execution Monitoring :
- Assist traders by ensuring that trades are accurately captured and confirmed in the trading system.
- Track and monitor trade life cycles from execution to settlement, ensuring that all aspects (pricing, quantity, trade terms) are correct.
- Verify that trade details match across systems (trading platforms, back-office, risk management systems).
- Act as the first point of contact for resolving trade-related issues, such as booking errors, settlement problems, or system glitches.
- Investigate discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary to senior trade support or risk management teams.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., compliance, operations, risk) to address and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all trade activity for audit, compliance, and operational purposes.
- Prepare and distribute daily trade reports to traders, management, and other departments.
- Prepare financial reports and respond to auditor requests providing data-driven insights to meet compliance standards.
- Document any trade-related incidents or issues and ensure they are tracked and addressed.
- Conduct operational control checks and update Standard Operating Procedures to strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with system testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting related to trading platforms or risk systems.
- Provide feedback on system inefficiencies or areas for improvement to the IT or systems teams.
- Contribute to process improvements in the trade support workflow and help implement better practices, e.g. automation of data collection using software.
- Work closely with traders to understand their needs and support their trading strategies with accurate and timely information.
- Communicate trade information and potential issues to senior staff, risk managers, and other operational teams.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of financial products (e.g., stocks, bonds, derivatives, FX, commodities) and how they trade.
- Experience with trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Eikon) and back-office systems (e.g., settlement and reconciliation systems).
- Understanding of Regulatory Requirements : Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards governing trade execution and settlement.
- Ensuring accuracy when entering, confirming, and monitoring trades, as well as identifying discrepancies.
- Managing multiple tasks and trade activities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Clearly communicating with traders, internal teams, and external counterparties to resolve issues or clarify trade details.
- Quickly identifying issues in the trade life cycle and finding effective solutions.
- Sense of responsibility and initiative;

- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer orientation;
- Ability to interact with colleagues of diverse cultures; respect for diversity;
- Good IT skills; proficiency in Windows environment is expected;
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
- Swiss or EU national or holder of a valid Swiss working permit.
