Data Engineer (12 months fixed term contract)

Your team

Technology & Operations design and integrate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems, trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions.

The division is responsible for some of the Group’s key innovations while sustaining business operations and developing custodian and funds administration services.

The Tech & Ops division and its Data Analytics office are looking to reinforce their team to master their data value chain and provide a platform for reporting purposes and data mining.

You will contribute to producing the indicators, dashboards and small applications that will help managers take data-driven decisions in the operational and technology sectors.

Your close cooperation with a wide range of stakeholders within the division will be key to ensuring that you understand their needs and are able to provide meaningful dashboards creating added business value.

Your role

• Maintaining and enhancing existing Tableau dashboards for various technology domains such as user management, cyber security or server management.
• Identifying and documenting the needs with regard to enhancing our process management costs, technology products and user data.
• Using Python with Prefect and DBT to implement a systematic approach to ingest and normalise metrics in a dedicated large data warehouse .
• Transitioning the current front-end stack from Oracle APEX to a more robust ReactJS / Flask framework, in order to increase value and functionality for end-users.
• Assessing and controlling outcomes to automate reporting for the COOs and CFOs across different divisions of the Pictet Group.
• Using advanced visualisation tools and technologies (such as Tableau, BusinessObject and ReactJS) to enhance data interpretation and presentation with regard to our management of technology products and applications.
• Keeping abreast of current trends and advances in technology relevant to the Group's operational needs and indicators.

Your profile

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Experience with SQL queries and event-driven programming.
• Relevant experience in collating and analysing management information.
• Knowledge of data warehouse data modelling, enrichment and cleaning techniques.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Initiative and commitment, self-motivation and ability to work independently.
• Able to work in a demanding and challenging environment.
• Fluent in French and excellent command of English.
• Must be resident in Switzerland.
