We are seeking a talented and experienced Supplier Market Intelligence Manager to join our procurement team at our global office in Lucerne, Switzerland.
The Supplier Market Intelligence Manager will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating market intelligence to support strategic decision-making and enhance the competitiveness of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as a subject matter expert driving excellence in procurement organization, and ensuring that standardized risk analysis, tools, systems and processes are adhered to by the broader procurement organization.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supplier market intelligence strategy to support procurement objectives and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitor global market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting key supplier markets to anticipate potential disruptions and identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier diversification.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of supplier landscapes, including competitor analysis, supplier capabilities, financial performance, and geopolitical factors, to assess supplier risk exposure and inform supplier selection and negotiation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, operations, and risk management, to identify business needs and develop actionable insights and recommendations based on market intelligence.
- Assist in the sourcing strategy implementation and supplier selection process.
- Collaborate with Procurement Excellence director to establish and implement standardized supplier risk management and analysis practices for total Procurement organization.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external sources of market intelligence, such as industry analysts, market research firms, and trade associations, to stay abreast of industry developments and best practices.
- Utilize data analytics tools and business intelligence platforms to collect, organize, and analyze market data, and develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and executive summaries summarizing key market intelligence findings, trends, and implications for decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of market intelligence processes, tools, and methodologies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, market intelligence, strategic sourcing, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supply chain dynamics, and market trends in relevant industries.
- Proven analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets, perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill and communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience working with procurement software and market intelligence platforms is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel internationally 25% of the time.
