Ready for Swisscom

Together, we are developing our 5G Dual Mode Core using the latest container-based telco cloud environment. You will be responsible for driving the technical transformation towards a cloud-native core network, leveraging automation and service-based architecture principles. To do so, you will need to be able to work across multiple disciplines, including design, development, integration, testing, and operations. By automating our DevOps environment, you will help us to achieve greater efficiency, reliability and quality. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best possible network quality.

  • Innovating, designing, developing, integrating, automating testing and operating (DevOps) Mobile Packet Core functions on our 5G Dual Mode Core
  • Providing expertise in software engineering "best practices" to enhance the design and structure of code creation for automation tools
  • Troubleshooting and debugging in all environments
  • Implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, continuous improvement and workflow / process automation to reduce manual effort

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree (Uni / UAS) in telecommunications or computer science
  • Know-how in 3GPP / Mobile 5G Core Stand Alone Cloud Native Functions
  • Knowledge of CI / CD and DevOps technologies (Artifactory, GIT, Ansible, Argo Workflow, GoLang)
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer in an IT- or telco network environment and Cloud computing, infrastructure and networking (Kubernetes, Docker, Micro-Services)
