This Position reports to:

Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this position, you will provide assistance in testing and verification activities on a range of assignments in the UPS products of ABB Smart Power in Quartino. You will be in charge of the testing and verification activities for low- and medium-complexity systems, subsystems, or products.

The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Defining the troubleshooting procedure and troubleshooting level two, in case a new event occurs not covered by the troubleshooting procedure.

• Maintaining, changing, and optimizing test instructions for mass production in consultancy with the R&D Engineer (Center of Excellence).

• Providing technical support during the installation of test objects in the test area.

• Assisting the Production Supervisor in defining and maintaining the skill matrix for test operators.

Qualifications for the role

• At least 3 years of experience in UPS, working as a service technician, or in engineering, testing, etc.

• Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools, including measurement with a power meter, oscilloscope, etc.

• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines.

• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.

• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.

• A degree in electrical/electronic or similar field · Fluent in English
