Quality Control Manager

Your role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Product Quality Specialist with a strong background in power electronics and proven experience in the design and validation of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). The product quality specialist plays a pivotal role in collaborating with the R&D department for product design and implementation.

The work model for this role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the UPS Systems Quality Department in Quartino, Switzerland.

You will be mainly accountable for :

• Acting as a quality interface between Agile Teams (R&D & Product Management), Operations, and Suppliers to ensure product robustness before the release (G5).
• Analyzing test data, quality KPIs, and field return issues and providing critical feedback during the definition of product requirements, influencing design for quality and reliability.
• Managing quality product validation, according to ABB PCP (Product Creation Process) or equivalent methodologies (e.g., APQP), including test planning, design, and execution.
• Actively supporting the Design FMEA, Process FMEA, and PPAP activities in cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to improving Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT), with a focus on PCBA production processes.
