Coople needs to be talked about. This is a one-person role: no team, no large agency, no playbook to inherit. You find the stories, open the doors and get Coople into the media, onto stages and into the rooms where Swiss businesses decide how they staff.

You bring years of Swiss PR, communications or journalism, ideally from a scale-up or platform business, and journalists still answer your calls. You have generated coverage and run campaigns on your own, you write sharply, and you are confident enough to tell a CEO when a story will not work.

We want ideas the staffing industry has not seen before, and someone who executes end to end. This is a single contributor role but has the whole team behind you!

What you will do

Get Coople into the conversation

• Find and place stories yourself: platform data, trends in flexible work, stories about clients and Cooplers (the external workers using our platform)
• Build direct relationships with journalists in business, HR and sector media across German- and French-speaking Switzerland
• Use the PR agency for reach where it helps, never as a substitute for your own pitching
• Handle press enquiries and issues quickly and calmly
• Be as creative as possible, growth hack awareness

Make the Leadership Team and Coople visible

• Challenge the leadership narrative and sharpen it until it is newsworthy
• Secure speaking slots, panels, podcasts and op-eds for the Leadership Team
• Write executive LinkedIn content in German and French

Run events that produce business

• Choose the events worth attending and drop the ones that are not
• Negotiate, plan and run them yourself, from stand to follow-up
• Create Coople's own formats: client roundtables, Coopler meetups, pop-up activations
• Hand every qualified contact to Sales in HubSpot and report what each event delivered

Do what others in the industry don't

• Test unconventional formats: stunts, partnerships, creator collaborations, campaigns built on platform data
• Run small, fast experiments; scale what works and stop what doesn't
• Use AI tools to monitor, draft, translate and report faster than a team would

Keep Cooplers and colleagues informed

• Coopler communications: social media, community and reviews
• Internal communications: leadership updates and company announcements

Who you are

Must have

• + years in PR, communications or journalism, with recent experience in Switzerland
• Background in a scale-up, platform business, staffing, HR tech or a PR agency
• Journalists who answer your calls, not just a media list
• Coverage and campaigns you came up with and delivered yourself
• Comfortable working alone, from strategy to press release to event logistics
• Confident enough to tell a CEO when a story will not work
• Strong writing in German, English (French advantageous)
• Success measured in coverage, meetings and pipeline, not activity

Nice to have

• Experience as a journalist
• Network in hospitality, healthcare, retail or logistics
• Experience with HubSpot or another CRM
• Understanding of how earned media drives AI search visibility
