Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/d)
- Serve as the primary contact for all legal and compliance matters across multiple business units in Switzerland.
- Provide expert advice to the business and management teams on the impact of changes in Swiss legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee and manage legal and compliance risks, including the handling of litigation and professional liability cases.
- Lead compliance initiatives, including training, policy development, and ensuring adherence to global standards. Coordinate with internal teams to implement necessary compliance measures.
- Address routine legal and compliance inquiries and support the negotiation of various client and commercial agreements.
- Oversee corporate legal matters and contribute to M&A transactions.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and ensure effective collaboration.
- Work closely with regional legal and compliance teams, as well as key functions such as Finance, Operations, and Data Protection within Switzerland.
- Swiss law degree - admission to the Swiss Bar is an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in the insurance or financial services sector, either in a law firm or in-house role.
- Fluency in German and French, with strong business-level English proficiency.
- Demonstrated professionalism and confidence, with a commercial mindset.
- Proactive, solution-driven approach with a strong focus on process and structure.
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-regional team environment.
- Proficient in using Office applications, including SharePoint.
