Automation Engineer (BioTech / Pharma)

Tasks Responsible for Design, Installation, and qualification of Automation systems for batch processing tanks, solvent recovery systems, filter dryers, HPLCs, filtration systems, Lyophilizers, ultra-low freezers, HVAC, solvent distribution and recovery systems, compressed air, purified water, and wastewater systems Develop and train cross-functional team members on utilization and maintenance of new Automation systems for equipment and systems by creating roadmaps, improving existing processes, creating new procedures, job aids, SOPs and protocols as well as training of staff for these expectations Troubleshoot Automation Systems, and monitor trends to ensure that equipment works to its specifications and appropriate capacities Lead engineering team and coordinate engineering activities to design, develop, and execute the automation part of strategic investment projects Ensures compliance of company policies, procedures and objectives regarding processes, initiatives, and projects Maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis of programming problems PLC / HMI Programming Requirements Minimum a Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial IT or automation Minimum of 2 years experience under GMP Working Knowledge of Industry Standards as it relates to Chemical, Pharmaceutical facilities or related facilities Technical knowledge of automation, controls, instrumentation, batch programming, Programmable Logic Controllers, Distributed Control Systems, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems, Building Automation Systems, IT and OT networks and technologies Knowledge of batch processing and recipe management Sound knowledge of PLC programming, control and safety technology for hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems Experience with Siemens / Emerson Delta-V & Syncade / ROCKWELL / Allen Bradley Experience with electrical and program troubleshooting Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English and German) Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems Benefits Joining a group with strong development potential that aims to improve your employability on challenging and varied projects Joining a structure that has been established in Switzerland for a long time with a client portfolio that includes leaders in the sector Having a sustainable job with stability and access to a real collaboration Benefit from training with accredited and certified centers Having a local management team to support you in the achievement of your missions and in the development of your career Being part of a dynamic, committed team with real human values that we live by every day Closing Only applications from Swiss and EU citizens will be considered.
