Key Account Manager Lead

We are seeking a best-in-class commercial professional who will lead a dedicated team of account managers.
The ideal candidate brings a track record of successful account management experience, ideally in a SaaS company. You are results-driven and ambitious, and you want to foster the same attitude in your team.
You know how to scale, build talent, and create a sales-driven work environment. You will work with collaborators of mixed backgrounds, so good interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and a can-do attitude are essential.
Apart from your hunger for growth, you are also driven by our mission at ecoinvent. This role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Your Responsibilities :
- Leading the (key) account team at ecoinvent, consisting of highly motivated account managers eager to grow their accounts both in terms of revenue and relationship
- Building a world-class KAM organization through commercial excellence and account management expertise. This will involve getting buy-in for your vision from experienced account managers and new joiners who require training and mentorship
- Be a sales-oriented key account manager yourself. This means you will find your way to the right people at leading companies, position our products, finalize deals, and expand our footprint with the account
- You’ll own the full lifecycle, from first outbound to contract signature, to renewal management, and you will manage your team to do the same
- Building strong and appealing account plans, outlining account growth by strong relationship management, identification of new buying centers and cross / upselling
- You are the voice of the customer : Your judgement of client needs will have a major impact on product strategy by sharing feedback from customers on the front line
- Becoming an expert in the climate sector and educating companies on how they should navigate the world of carbon reduction targets, clean energy, decarbonizing, and beyond
Your Qualifications :
- 8+ years of KAM experience, ideally with quota-carrying experience, and ideally in a SaaS, database, data-driven company or organization
- A track record of sales excellence, especially with enterprise customers (2,000 - 10,000 employees) at an executive level
- Have experience prospecting new business across industry sectors and business models
- You are excited to lead. You are highly self-motivated, independent, and driven by a desire to advance projects
- You are an excellent consultative seller. You listen deeply to customers and excel by helping them solve their problems.
You present deep levels of understanding of the sustainability domain
- You are commercially minded, and you want our organization to succeed in a competitive market
- You like building processes which lead towards success, while also being fine with a certain level of ambiguity and freedom of ideas
- You are a team player, love to enable cross-functional collaboration, foster exchange of ideas, and are committed to a vast diversity of backgrounds
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken communication) is essential
