Role Overview As a Freelance Full Stack Drupal Developer, you’ll work on project-based teams delivering high-quality, scalable web solutions. The role requires advanced proficiency in the latest Drupal frameworks, with both front-end and back-end capabilities. While you’ll work remotely, you may occasionally be called to participate in client workshops across Switzerland to ensure alignment and foster team collaboration. Tasks Build, deploy, and maintain Drupal-based websites and applications, using the latest version of Drupal 10+ , in line with modern architecture best practices. Develop custom modules and themes, implementing Twig templating for flexible front-end rendering and ensuring WCAG accessibility standards. Integrate APIs, including RESTful and GraphQL, to create seamless and high-performing experiences. Utilize Symfony components and Composer for package management, ensuring efficient project configuration. Collaborate in project estimation, helping clients understand technical needs and contributing to project pitches. Work closely within a multidisciplinary team environment, participating in agile workflows and integrating with DevOps practices like CI / CD and automated testing. Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Drupal developer, with a proven track record in full-stack development. Fluent in Swiss German and English . Mastery of PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 , and front-end frameworks like Vue.js or React . Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized environments, and Git for version control. Familiarity with headless Drupal architecture, as well as decoupling strategies for flexible, future-proof solutions. Comfortable working in an agile environment and adapting to iterative processes. Ability to engage with clients in project-based workshops, providing insights into the technical feasibility and translating complex ideas into accessible language. Preferred Qualifications : Active contributions to Drupal. Experience with Acquia or Pantheon hosting and deployment environments. Solid understanding of UX best practices to optimize site performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. Experience working in an agency environment.
