Output 1 : Existing data standards used for EWS categorised, mapped, and documented. Deliverable 1 : Mapping report on data standards used for EWS.
Expected by end of May 2024.
Output 2 : Criteria and methodology to assess the feasibility and define prerequisites for one joint global information and analysis system for EWS scoped and described.
Deliverable 2 : Feasibility analysis methodology protocol.
Expected by end of July 2024.
Qualifications, experience, skills and languages
Educational Qualifications :
Essential :
Minimum first university degree in epidemiology or methodology in health science.
Desirable :
Alumni from a field epidemiology training programme, or equivalent.
Experience : Essential :

5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the public health sector.
Desirable :
- Experience in environmental and wastewater surveillance for public health.
- Experience in meeting organization and management.
- Previous work with WHO or other international organizations.
Skills :
- Analytical skills and capacity to synthesize complex information.
- Good writing skills.
- Sound organizational skills.
- Ability to work self-dependant, results-oriented, and produce timely deliverables.
Languages required : Essential :

Expert knowledge of English.

The consultant is expected to travel.
Remuneration and budget (travel costs are excluded) :
Remuneration :
Band level B - USD 7,000 - 9,980 per month.
Living expenses (A living expense is payable to on-site consultants who are internationally recruited) :
