Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst (Ref. 2419)

Your role

As Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are in charge of producing credit risk assessments for Corporates, Financial institutions and Sovereigns for the benefit of the Group Credit Committee and provide credit opinions and recommendations in due time, ensuring high quality of the Credit Portfolio.

Your responsibilities

• Perform in-depth financial statements analysis of Corporates, Financial Institutions & Sovereign to assess counter party credit worthiness
• Formulate credit view on long term Bond holdings and Derivatives, as well as Bilateral and Syndicated loans
• Research and monitor credit portfolios for early warning indicators, as well as monitor market news, then liaise with Risk Officer on credit limit monitoring, country risk, and large exposure
• Assist trading desks for flow business : assess counterparty risk, documentation, and limit set up for OTC derivatives, Repos & Securities Lending
• Assess and negotiate credit terms in the legal documentation (Master Agreements for OTC derivatives, Repos and Securities Lending, Bilateral and Syndicated loans, Underwriting)
• Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulatory and reporting requirements, as well as participate in credit policies and procedures reviews

Your profile

• University degree in Business, Economics, Econometrics, Finance or in a related field or completed apprenticeship or similar banking education
• Additional training in Credit Risk Analysis of Corporates and Financial Institutions or at least 3 years of professional experience in fundamental counterparty credit analysis or credit research (corporates, banking and non-banking financial institutions, sovereign)
• Familiar with credit & banking products (bonds, loans, OTC derivatives, Repos and Securities lending) and relative legal documentations (credit agreements, ISDA / CSA, GMRA, GMSLA)
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, knowledge of VBA or a coding language is a plus
• Independent and flexible working style, contributing to the team spirit in a dynamic and fast pace environment
• Solid organizational skills with strong work ethics and a high level of accountability
• Fluent in English and very good command in German
