Overview of Role

Do you want the chance to collaborate with a global community of marketing and communication professionals? Then join our international Corporate Affairs Team in Geneva.

We are searching for support within the whole range of Marketing and Communication with a focus on events management. You will play a crucial role in planning, organising, and executing various events for our organization.

This role involves coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to ensure the successful delivery of events that align with the company's objectives and meet or exceed stakeholders' expectations.

This exciting internship will last for a period of twelve months with a preferred start date of June 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Support at organisation and execution of internal and external events. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event requirements, objectives, and target audience.
  • Draft and design invitations and marketing materials in multiple languages, ensuring accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Develop event concepts, themes, and budgets in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Source and negotiate with venues, suppliers, and vendors to secure necessary resources within budget constraints.
  • Coordinate logistics including venue setup, catering, audio-visual equipment, and transportation.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event against predetermined objectives and KPIs.
  • Gather feedback from attendees, sponsors, and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
  • General support to the Corporate Affairs department.

Education and Qualifications

  • You have just or nearly finished your Bachelor (BA / BSc) or Master Degree (MA / MSc), with a major in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
  • Ideally gained first work experience in event planning and execution, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Excellent skills in English (written and spoken), French, German and Spanish are a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, and travel as required.
  • Willingness to learn and develop.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative and reliability.
