Description

• Integration to the InvestmentTeam;
• Evaluation of newinvestments within the Japanese portfolio companies : performin-depth due diligence on potential new investments to be added tothe Firm's Long-only and Long / Shortportfolios :
• Conduct thorough market and competitiveanalysis, including leveraging external experts to deep-dive onindustry growth drivers and players'positioning;
• Research,discussion and meetings with top managements of thecompanies;
• Developdetailed fundamental, bottom-up financial models following theinternal valuation framework;
• Develop and substantiate investment thesis,present findings and recommendations to the Investment Committee,conduct ad hoc follow-ups.
• Monitoring existingpositions within the Japanese portfolio companies : provide ongoingcoverage for a number of Long and Shortpositions :
• Follow companies' quarterly results (includingcompetitors'), update financial models and re-assess position risk / reward profile;
• Conductadditional analysis to re-evaluate original investment thesis on anad-hoc basis.
• ESG Process :
• Create and complete database of ESGmetrics about portfolio companies;
• Conduct deep-dives on specific ESG topics topresent to senior team members.
• Perform additionalresponsibilities as assigned;
• Discretion and confidentiality arerequired;

Profile

• Graduated from a Master's degree from atop-ranked institution, with GPA >
• 3.75 (orequivalent);
• A firstprofessional experience as Research Analyst, Investment Analyst orFinancial Analyst in market finance within an asset management, aninvestment bank or a consulting firm;
• Experience in investment idea generation,supported by qualitative / quantitative research and data analysis,as well as knowledge of financial modelling and valuationtopics;
• Expertise incompanies' ESG data and performance analysis; interest in ESGtopics (e.g. energy transition, renewable energies) a strongplus;
• Good commands on ITskills, data analysis and modelisation;
• Fluency in English and Japanese, given thefocus on the Japanese market;
• Superior analytical mindset, with provenability to think independently;
• Structured approach to problem solving, withthe ability to frame complex and ambiguous problems and focus ontheir most critical components;
• the position requires the abilityto distill from a variety of input the ones that are key to theinvestment thesis;
• Strongcommunication skills for presenting insightseffectively;
• Swissresidence or ability to relocate in Geneva ;
• Ability to travel in Japan and USA (US passportideally).
