Your new responsibilities

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer (Angular Frontend) to join our Core Team responsible for the global Siemens Mobile and Web Platform.

The platform is based on an OSS technology stack and is used by hundreds of developers at Siemens. It is an open platform that everyone within Siemens can use and contribute to.

• Lead the architectural and technological evolution of the Siemens Mobile and Web Platform
• Develop and enhance our company-wide design system in close collaboration with our UX teams
• Drive our open source strategy and contribute to upstream projects
• Write and review code using the merge request workflow, ensuring high-quality peer code reviews
• Leverage AI / ML technologies to enhance the efficiency of our tooling and pipelines
• Integrate emerging trends in web, mobile, and AI technologies into our platform
• Work in a hyper-agile development environment as part of a globally distributed, self-organizing team
• Conduct workshops to share knowledge and train developers on advanced web development topics
• Collaborate globally with colleagues from Europe, the US, India, and China
• Explore career growth opportunities to become a Global Software Architect or Key Know-how Expert

Your talents and experience

• An academic degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
• In-depth knowledge of modern web technologies : HTML5 / CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.
• Extensive multi-year working experience with at least one major web framework (Angular, React, Vue.js)
• Working experience with Git and social coding platforms like GitLab, GitHub, etc.
• Exceptional attention to quality needed to work on components and libraries which are reused in hundreds of applications
• Experience with innovative software development concepts like Agile, DevOps, Feature Teams
• Contributions to open source projects and / or experience in AI / ML are a plus
• Strong communication and social skills when working in global teams or presenting ideas and concepts to collaborators
• Coaching and mentoring skills
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of German is a plus and can give you an advantage
