Field-based Medical Customer Engagement Manager (Romandie Area / m / f / d)
JOB PURPOSE
Join our dynamic team as a scientific expert and key contact between the medical community and Bayer, focusing on delivering value to both customers and patients.
You will pay a crucial role in understanding customer needs and designing initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction across various therapeutic areas within the French-speaking part of Switzerland and in alignment with our broader brand and therapeutic area strategies.
This role requires a deep dive into patient and customer journeys, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, scientists, and key stakeholders, including medical associations and academic centers, and coordinating collaborative efforts with local functions to meet the specific needs of various customer groups.
In this field-based position, you will be operating directly from your home in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively engage with customers to build strong relationships and find timely solutions for patient journey challenges. Manage resources efficiently and be part of a dynamic team that values continuous learning, improvement, and innovation
- Analyze and identify customer needs, implementing subsequent services using cutting-edge tools and methodologies (such as co-creation / co-development).
Systematically capture interactions and events with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to generate valuable insights into patient and customer journeys, and share these insights with the internal cross-functional team
- Pro-actively disseminate scientific, educational, research-related information (e.g. study protocols, meeting abstracts, professional literature) to ensure the appropriate use of Bayer products
- Organize one-to-one or small group scientific education activities and advisory boards. Where appropriate, facilitate Continuous Medical Education (CME) activities, and participate / network at scientific events and congresses
- Partner with and engage Thought Leaders and other relevant stakeholders (medical associations, academic centers, etc.) as a subject matter expert
- Actively participate in and collaborate with the cross-functional product and customer teams. Support the development and continuous improvement of integrated brand strategies and implement activities for the French-speaking part of Switzerland
- Identify investigator-initiated research (IIR) ideas with Thought Leaders and support implementation of studies
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in human medicine, pharmacy, biology, veterinary medicine, or related fields. Advanced degrees are a plus
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs or Clinical Research preferred
- High learning agility and ability to understand and learn around various disease areas and therapeutic options, including treatment options and Bayer products
- Understanding of Swiss healthcare landscape including regulations and compliance
- Strong presentation and communication skills as well as project management skills (remote and face-to-face). Able to communicate complex scientific data
- Solution-oriented, innovative, creative, curious, and entrepreneurial thinker
- Team player, analytical thinker, organized and able to prioritize, reliable, integer, flexible, efficient, digital savvy, ready to learn, can-do attitude, persistent, pragmatic
- High ability to build connections and bring people together
- Fluent in French and English is a must, German as an advantage
