Investment Analytics Specialist (80-100%, hybrid, m/f/x/d)

About the Role

As an Investment Analytics Specialist in the Private Investments Analytics team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality data analysis and insights to support the investment decision-making and portfolio management processes across the growing private investments portfolio, with global exposures to Private Debt, Private Equity and Real Estate.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work closely with portfolio managers and analysts to develop and maintain analytical tools, models, and reports that enhance the investment performance and risk management of our portfolios
• Collaborate with other colleagues across Group Asset Management including Middle Office, Operations and IT to deliver on our objectives
• Apply your investment management knowledge and quantitative skills by contributing to exciting projects across the AM Analytics department and Group Asset Management overall

About the Team

The Private Investment Analytics team is a newly created, highly energised team of analytics professionals who combine investment management know-how, tech capabilities and quantitative methods to support directly the Front Office teams.

Our aspiration is to provide state-of-the-art analytics for this growth area of Swiss Re's investment portfolio.

About You

You are motivated, with a strong sense of collaboration and team spirit. You have an innovative and driven mind set and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing environment.

In addition, you're a confident communicator and can convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Essentials :

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or Engineering
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in analytics in an asset management / financial services environment
• Passion for numbers and quantitative analysis
• Prior experience in programming (. Python)
• Well-organized and structured approach to problem solving and able to maintain high quality output even under time pressure;

strong time management skills

• Proficiency in MS-Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken)

Nice to have :

• Further education such as CFA / CAIA
• Knowledge of the following technologies or a keen desire to learn : Python, PySpark, Palantir Foundry, Power BI, SQL, Tableau
