Summary
This is an internship position typically held by an active student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance Business or another related field of study.
Throughout this internship, you will get similar levels of exposure as a first-year Analyst, assisting in the month end close process, learn about SOX controls, conducting company analysis.
This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of our Industrial team and gain meaningful on-the-job experience
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in monthly close process by recording monthly accruals, reconciling accounts and reviewing data for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare monthly reporting packages
- Verify inventory movements and partners with Tech Ops to streamline and improve the inventory subledger reconciliations vs third party stock files
- Enhance and automate purchase price variance process
- Perform data analysis and implement quality enhancements
- Assist with the annual physical stock counts
- Partake in the annual standard cost revaluation exercise
- Prepare SOX control and maintain ongoing support documentation.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- In the process of completing a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Finance or related field
- Strong accounting knowledge; experience with inventory control a plus
- Advanced Excel and data mining skills
- Experience with SAP a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in both English and French
- Business partnering mindset
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
