To support Underwriting and Operations in policy administration, invoicing, broker statements, credit control and other administrative tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
Policy Admin / Booking
- Enter risk and policy data into the Operations systems within defined service level
- Control proactively Salesforce prospects on an ongoing basis and ensure Underwriting is submitting booking information in a timely manner and that declined / NTU business is properly updated in Salesforce (è keep Salesforce clean)
- Ensure high data quality in Operations systems (Salesforce, SPARC, Eclipse) through checks and reviews
- Ensure Taxes are correctly declared / booked and processed internally
- Establish premium invoices within a set timeframe after inception
- Establish brokerage and Co-Insurance statement within a set timeframe after receiving premium payment and initiate payout process.
Credit Control
Work on aged debt on a weekly basisEnsure overdue debt is reported to Underwriters and execute on agreed actionsEnsure stage and comments for Finance team are up to date in EclipseHandle bordereaux and ensure claims information is shared with Claims teamHandle premium payments (based on “payments & receipts” file) and make sure policy assignment is being done in a timely manner. Avoid any backlog.Advise reinsurance department to ensure Facultative R / I can be paid out once premium received.Administration / Other
Drive continuous improvement of Operations and Underwriting Processes within own area of responsibilitySupport the implementation of global Operations projectsPro-actively inform internal / external stakeholdersEnsure filing of Operations documentation is completeAssist in training of underwriters and new admin staff as requiredOther administrative office tasks as deems appropriateExperience
Technical accounting or similar experiencePreferably with insurance backgroundIdeal candidate worked in the technical accounting department of a corporate insurance unit / companySkills
