Senior Lombard Credit Officer
Within the Swiss Credit Risk function, the Swiss Lombard Credit Risk team is responsible for the credit risk structuring, implementation, review and management of all lombard client loans booked in CH
Main responsibilities
- Structuring and assessment of Life Insurance Policy financing (ULIP and Wrapper) including legal documentation review.
- Structuring and assessment of Lombard credit standard and non-standard structured transactions including collateral risk analysis (any type of collateral, statistical analysis, product reviews), borrower risk (any type of borrower including financial institution, funds - covering serviceability, balance sheet review, structural risk), legal risk (regulatory risk related to the borrower, regulatory / legal risk related to the collateral, perfection of pledge, cross boarder risk, review of legal opinion jointly with Legal expert, credit agreement), compliance risk (AML, compliance report review, structural risk, flow of fund).
- Provide support to the Swiss Head of Lombard Credit Risk and to Group Credit.
- Support CROs and Business Heads of CH and international Business Units for any credit related matter (structuring, regularization, margin call).
- Ensuring good quality of submissions to the Group Head of Credits and Executive Credit Committee.
- Be part of internal Swiss and International projects for the development and improvement of the credit risk function.
- Managing credit reviews to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and in good quality.
Skills and experience
- University degree in Finance, Economics, science or similar.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in structured Lombard credit (including financing against life insurance policies) in national and international financial markets.
- Fluent English written and spoken; fluency in French, German and Italian would be a plus.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Deep knowledge in any type of financials assets.
- Good knowledge in life Insurance policy financing (risk assessment and documentation).
- Ability to review and analysing corporate documents and financial statements.
- Good knowledge in all legal aspects related to credit transactions.
- Knowledge in Murahaba financing is a plus.
- Good command of the MS Office suite.
- Experience with trusts and foundation as as counterparties is a plus (in relation with Life Insurance Policy Financing).
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic environment.
