Digital Biomarker Data Management Architect
The Position
Digital health technology is transforming the way we develop personalized medicines for patients. Roche is dedicated to creating community- and regulator-accepted digital endpoints and digital outcomes that redefine the way we measure disease progression in clinical drug trials and make them accessible to Biopharma companies and the research community.
We are looking for a Data operations and management lead to drive data related topics in the operationalization of our digital biomarker products in multiple disease areas.
Job Mission
We, the Digital Biomarker (dBM) Global Area in Roche Information Solutions, are an integrated team of scientists, technologists, data analysts and operationalization experts, that leverages mobile technologies like smartphones and wearables to collect objective and continuous sensor data from patients in clinical trials.
We co-create innovative digital remote monitoring concepts for sensitive and meaningful drug development endpoints, implement them in technology solutions, develop health related outcome measures with the data, seek community- and regulatory acceptance of corresponding endpoints and offer them to biopharma companies and research institutes for use in clinical trials.
Moreover, we are establishing the scientific foundations for disease monitoring and screening solutions in clinical practice.
Your impact
As the Digital Biomarker Data Management Architect in the digital biomarker data insights subchapter you will
Develop and optimize data driven procedures to support digital biomarker study setups and operations. Examples include digital device / app quality control, adherence monitoring, data transfer quality control.
Co-develop and maintain external and internal data standards to ensure a seamless data flow during the different data processing steps from raw sensor data collected by our digital health solutions through our library of signal processing algorithms to data transfer files provided to our customers
Be the technical owner of our library of signal processing algorithms to extract meaningful information from raw sensor data
Contribute to the improvement and automation of the data processing and analysis pipelines across programs
Lead activities in matrix teams
Be the main interface between the Digital Biomarker data analysis team and workflows, clinical integration and deployment teams
Must Haves :
Very good university degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, statistics or natural science
5+ year of hands-on experience in software development and data engineering (optional : signal processing ) on digital biomarker data
Experience in working in a goal-oriented manner with the customer in mind
Understanding on regulatory requirements for digital health technologies
Strong experience in working at interfaces between signal processing experts and software developers
Experience of working collaboratively within a large team and managing your time against competing demands
Profound knowledge in Python, (additional knowledge in other software packages / languages welcome)
Excellent in English; excellent writing skills
