• Design and implementation of courses in the basic and advanced modules of engineering mechanics at bachelor level and involvement in the further development of the curricula
• Independent acquisition, processing and management of R&D projects including responsibility for results
• Expansion and further development of the competencies in the LWD group within the framework of the IMES strategy
• Active participation in the management of the LWD Group as a member of the management team

Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW is one of Switzerland's largest multidisciplinary universities of applied sciences, with over 14'000 students and 3'400 faculty and staff.

The IMES deals with highly loaded structures in three main areas, the main area LWD especially with the structural mechanics of aircraft and railway vehicles as well as highly dynamic loaded structures. The core competencies are the development of weight-optimised structures using numerical methods such as FEM and FSI, explicit FEM simulation with various hydrocodes, multi-physical optimisation as well as design and prototype construction.
