Introduction

We are the first Hyatt Regency & Hyatt Place of Switzerland in the CIRCLE at Zurich Airport. The hotels have together 555 rooms and suites and the Circle Convention Center is directly connected to the Hyatt Regency. It includes over 2800 square feet of flexible meeting and event space and can welcome up to 1500 guests.

What to expect :

We care for people so they can be their best” … and we are looking for a Director of Events Sales to lead our event sales team of 7 colleagues in our diverse environment.

Some of your key responsibilities :

• Lead and develop the Event Sales Team to drive top line revenue and reach budget.
• Oversee team performance, handle recruitment, and lead colleague training and development.
• Lead the team to actively convert existing meeting and group enquiries, acquire new potential business and proactively sell our offers.
• Work closely together with our Sales Team and Hyatt Sales Force to increase booking pipeline.
• Manage inquiries, distribute tasks within the team, and ensure timely offers and client proposals.
• Support clients, before, during and after the events with a customer-orientated approach.
• Ensure smooth and effective communication with our clients.
• Ensure effective and efficient sales operations, while maintaining high guest satisfaction.
• Ensure a high conversion rate.
• Participation in budgeting and forecasting.
• In this role you are reporting to the Cluster Commercial Director and work closely with our Marketing Team, Revenue Team, Event Planning Team and Sales Team.

Requirements :

You must be fluent in English – German and any other language is a plus. Ideally you have minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry with selling large event spaces. You demonstrate strong leadership and sales skills with a focus on time management, effective teamwork, and driving the best results.

Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport (255 rooms) and Hyatt Place Zurich Airport (300 rooms) are just a few steps from the terminals and within the new “Circle” district – an urban location with various shops, restaurants, the iconic Convention Center and an extensive park.
