Job Description

As a Data Manager within Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) you will be the key person to build and manage the processes, governance and system landscape for our data. In other words, you shape the vision of our future data management set up and will be the driver of the data journey within GMS.

In our view, good data needs to enable correct and on time supplies to patients and create positive business impact. You will be accountable that all key data of respective systems (e.g. ERP, APS) are created timely, are correct, maintained, synchronized among systems, and communicated to internal and external stakeholders at a high standard and that data quality is reported regularly to stakeholders.

You will also partner with functions outside GMS and participate in projects that aim to enhance Sobi’s data management environment.

This position is based at our Global Headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden or Global hub in Basel, Switzerland, reporting directly to Head Global Manufacturing & Supply Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and further develop cross-functional processes and RACI (incl. governance) to create and update Master Data.
  • Manage the identification, collection, consolidation and cleansing of master data from various sources.
  • Create and update data points and ensure that data sharing among systems works uninterrupted.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of master data to e.g. 3PL partners and/or Sobi affiliates.
  • Define and map source system and user systems of each data point.
  • Develop and coordinate / implement data integration strategies to ensure data consistency across systems.
  • Collaborate well with various stakeholders within and outside GMS to define and implement ways of working.
  • Develop and implement concepts to regularly report data quality, data sharing, and next improvement steps.
  • Proactively initiate and potentially lead improvements on processes, systems and roles & responsibilities to enhance data management within GMS, TechOps and Sobi. E.g. Collaborate with IT and software teams to design and implement data solutions including data models, data structures and data interfaces.
  • Visualize data points, working processes and systems to business impact (Sobi-TechOps-GMS strategy/value creation plan) and explain / train stakeholders on a) the importance of accurate and timely data management and b) how to collaborate in an efficient and effective way to forester a data-driven culture.
  • Be accountable for data related chang controls, respective SOP updates and training / guiding documentation as applicable and set an efficient governance for updating documentation.
  • Define a framework for self-inspection on data accuracy to ensure continuous data quality improvement.

  • Emphasis on work/life balance

Sobi is a global company with over 1,900 employees in more than 30 countries and are committed to the societies where we operate. We are a specialised international biopharmaceutical company transforming the lives of people with rare and debilitating diseases, providing reliable access to innovative medicines in the areas of haematology, immunology, and specialty care. Sobi’s share is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. More about Sobi at sobi.com and LinkedIn.

We know our employees are our most valuable asset and our culture conveys that. We offer a competitive benefits package, to support the health and happiness of our staff.

Sobi Culture

At Sobi, we refuse to accept the status quo. This is because we have witnessed first-hand the challenges facing those affected by rare diseases and have used this knowledge to shape our business to find new ways of helping them.

As a specialized biopharmaceutical company, we are dedicated to rare diseases. And we see this focus as a strength. By effectively turning our research into ground-breaking treatments, we help make medicine more accessible and open more possibilities for patients and more opportunities for those caring for them. This has been our approach since day one, but we know we can’t change the world of rare diseases on our own. Accomplishing this requires strong partnerships with patients, partners and stakeholders across the entire value chain. Together, we define how our business can create solutions that serve the needs of those affected by rare diseases while facilitating sustainable growth.
