Senior Photonic Back-end Process Engineer
Integrated Photonics
Tasks
Defining, setting up, and managing the cost optimized processes and infrastructure for our photonic integrated circuit back-end prototyping and production.
This role involves hands-on execution of processes, transitioning to overseeing and training operators, and ensuring the highest standards of quality.
Role and Responsibilities :
- Define and establish backend processes including optical inspection, PCM characterization, and pick-and-place operations.
- Set up and maintain the necessary infrastructure and equipment for production.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support RnD and pilot deliveries by executing backend processes, including visual inspection, optical testing of process control monitoring (PCM) cells, sorting and pick-and-place into carriers and train operators with further growth.
- Perform data analysis and create a yield reporting and feed back to the front end processing team and contribute to root cause analysis investigations.
- Ensure product conformity, execute or escalate dispatch decisions, create quality reports and Certificates of Conformity for the customer
- Responsible for inventory system and related improvements
- Improve and automate the back-end processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvement and innovation
Requirements
- University of applied science degree in mechanical, electrical, micro-nano technology.
- Min of 5 years industrial working experience in quality assurance, testing or production engineering.
- Experience of work in the cleanroom environment and micro fabrication techniques is a plus.
- Understanding of defect analysis in semiconductors is a plus.
- Knowledge of python for statistical data analysis.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills.
- Open minded, critical, and innovative.
- Ability to work independently and with remote teams.
- Working proficiency in Englis h.
