Senior Trade Finance Specialist

ArrowResources AG is a global commodity trading house headquartered in Switzerland and is seeking candidates for Senior Trade Finance Specialist to join its rapidly growing business.

The Arrow Resources group of companies is an integrated commodities trading house, actively trading base metals, concentrates, ores, natural gas, LNG, power, crude oil and oil products.

You will actively manage and take over the responsibility in managing the global book of Documentary Credits through a responsible, forward-looking, and risk-conscious assessment in compliance with the relevant regulations and policies :

TRADE FINANCE

• Placing LCs with financing banks
• Booking confirmation lines, advising Banks for exp. LCs
• Checking / approving bank documents related to confirmation of exp LCs
• Pre-checking draft-documents prior to presentation under exp LCs (Checking BLs drafts prior to shipment)
• Checking, approving, and negotiating bank costs on credit advices from nego / confirming banks
• Handling / rectifying / arguing discrepancies with nego / banks
• Drafting / Checking and negotiating LC drafts for export LCs
• Workability comments / amendments required on export LCs
• Drafting / Checking / approving wording for import LC / SBLCs
• Issuing import LCs / SBLCs and amendments, if need be
• Imp. LCs accepting discrepancies + providing disposal instructions to issuing banks after liaison with Ops
• Prior to contract issuance providing guidance to commercial department on documents
• Managing LCs exposures and monitoring the book by updating corresponding reports

TREASURY

• Preparing transactions, allocations, and approving payments with financing banks
• Bespoke Treasury functions to be discussed with the team
• Overall responsibility for developing / improving the Treasury & Trade Finance division
• High emphasis on maintaining and developing strong relationships with relevant banks to support the company’s commodities portfolio as they continue to expand their trading volumes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury, trade finance, or related roles
• Exposure to energy or metals trading would be advantageous
• Deep experience with Letters of Credit (LCs)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
