Senior Treasury Consultant 80-100%
As a Senior Treasury Consultant, you will be responsible for the Group’s return on capital framework. In this crucial and dynamic role, you will lead the evaluation of the Group’s financial performance on a risk / return basis analyzing the insurance portfolio across multiple dimensions, with the aim of providing Senior Management with insights on portfolio optimization.
You will also interact with multiple department across the organization representing Group Treasury vis a vis Group Risk, Group Investment Management and Underwriting.
Furthermore, you will run ad-hoc analysis on Group’s financial flexibility for M&As and group wide projects.

What you will do
Maintaining and further developing Group's Return on Capital (ROC) framework which aims to provide senior management with an instrument to assess the performance of business units.
This includes supervising the production process, analyzing results, reporting to senior management, business partnering with local and regional finance teams.
Maintaining and further developing Group's non-life Risk Based Return Metrics (RBRM) which aims to provide management, underwriting and finance functions with a view on the profitability and capital intensity of new business at Business Unit, segment and line of business level.
This includes supervising the production process, analysing the results, and reporting to management.
Summarizing insights gained from risk / return metrics into clear steering measures to be presented to local and regional management teams
Providing Group Treasury and Capital Management input to the Group Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA). Tasks include assessing the impact of different stress scenarios on the Group’s key capital and leverage KPIs, defining and assessing mitigation actions and presenting results to management.
Maintaining Group’s risk governance framework up to date, covering all processes run by Group Treasury
Running Ad-hoc analysis on capital, financial leverage, and liquidity implications of M&As and projects of strategic relevance
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal partners
What you bring
University degree in economics, business administration or finance-related discipline, CFA, FRM or CPA would be an advantage
Minimum 7 years of experience in finance / risk or associated role, ideally including experience in the (re-)insurance or banking industries
Strong insurance accounting knowledge, particularly of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9, are essential
Solid statistics and corporate finance knowledge. Previous exposure to insurance capital requirements (SST, SII) and rating models is a big plus
Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex financial data
Structured personality with the ability to work on multiple tasks and to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and direct the decision making process
Strong IT literacy required, including ability to structure databases, extract and analyze data
