AMAC Aerospace Switzerland AG operates 5 hangars at the Airport Basel-Mulhouse. We are dedicated to maintenance, modification as well as completion projects for mide-size jets, narrow and wide-body aircrafts within the private and business aviation industry.

Avionics & Electrical Engineers

Key Aspects of the Activity

• Design and Integration of Electrical Systems i.a.w. Aviation Regulations
• Review and understand the aircraft configuration to evaluate work scope feasibility
• Preparation of System Specifications, Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams complying with all safety, certification, and customer requirements
• Preparation of Installation Instruction and Documentation
• Preparation of Ground- , Flight Checks
• Preparation of Reports & Analysis (i.e. Electrical Load Analysis, Wiring Installation Reports etc.)
• Liaison and cooperation with other departments (i.e. Avionic & Electrical Services Department, Office of Airworthiness, Mechanical Production Engineering etc.)
• Provide Feedback to Lead Engineers and Manager

Mechanical Production Engineers

Key Aspects of the Activity

• Aircraft interior structure / systems / furnishing
• Preparation of Layout Drawings
• Handling of related Engineering Change Note from production or installation team
• Preparation of Compliance Documentation (i.e. E.O, Drawing list)
• Liaison with Vendors and Supplier of mechanical materials, parts, components and systems Compliance and Interpretations in the engineering output for the product, system or installation designed
• Selection of equipment, components and materials
• Development of Mechanical Drawings (2D / 3D-CAD)
• Preparation of installation instructions and test procedures
• Preparation of engineering design standards

Mechanical Design Engineers-Cabinets

Key Aspects of the Activity

• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for aircraft cabin furnishings (e.g. galleys, baggage bins, cabinets, side-ledges, tables, interior doors, seats and divan arrangements, armrests, upholstery, lavatories, decorative panels, carpet, etc.)
• Ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and
• Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations
• Review interior design specifications and create manufacturing assembly and installation mechanical drawings
• Selection of equipment, components and materials
• Generate working prototypes for testing and customer demonstration
• Create system definitions and specifications, test plans and reports
• Preparation of engineering design standards
• Preparation of installation instructions and test procedures

Mechanical Design Engineers-Stress

Key Aspects of the Activity

• Perform static and dynamic analyses as well as fatigue and damage tolerance analyses for cabin completion and modification projects
• Ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and
• Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations
• Static, dynamic and fatigue calculations of different installations (e.g. interior monuments, antennae installation, additional water tank, etc.

in airplanes with different methods (e.g. Finite-Element-Analysis and hand calculations).

• Review and approval of drawings and designs for stress aspects
• Work out of repairs and modifications in regard of stress
• Consulting with the mechanical design engineering to achieve light and cost saving structure solutions
• Development of technical as well as safety and certification relevant documentation such like reports, analysis, assessments
• Establishment of FEM models and Structural Substantiation Reports
• Development and procurement of material testing
• Development of engineering standards

Mechanical Design Engineers-Structure

Key Aspects of the Activity

Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for structural interfaces on aircraft primary and secondary structure (e.

g. monument attachments, cabin ceilings and supporting structure, external antenna and cameras installation, electrical racks and associated wire routing, additional water tank, etc )

• Preparation of Mechanical Drawings in 2D-CAD and 3D-CAD
• Good understanding of aircraft primary and secondary structure, good handling of aircraft manufacturer’s documentation
• Ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and
• Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations
• Selection of equipment, components and materials
• Preparation of technical documentation such as reports, analysis, test procedures and installation instructions
• Preparation of engineering design standards

Mechanical Design Engineers-Systems

Key Aspects of the Activity

Act as Mechanical Design Engineer designing aircraft internal and external primary and secondary structure, interior furnishing and system modifications i.

e. ECS, Heating, Humidification, Soundproofing, Equipment-Cooling, Oxygen, Smoke-Detection, Water-Waste

• Ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and Regulations, Means of Compliance and Interpretations in the engineering output for the product, system or installation designed
• Selection of equipment, components and material
• Development of Mechanical Drawings (2D / 3D-CAD)
• Preparation of technical documentation such as reports, analysis, test procedures and installation instructions
• Preparation of engineering design standards

Key Aspects of the Activity

• Analyzes the engineering documents (electrical / mechanical drawings, ground checks, specifications, project description)
• Establishes and updates the aircraft maintenance manual (AMM) supplements
• Establishes and updates the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) supplements
• Produces the isometric illustrations
• Tracks the design revisions
• Prepares the customer documentation package

• Relevant engineering degree, Aeronautical Engineering or relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar function
• Proficient in MS Office and for position relevant additional software skill
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
