As the Global Category Manager - Components, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing global sourcing strategies to optimize our procurement processes and drive cost efficiencies.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the supply chain meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute global category strategies for components.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the mechanical components sector.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and cost savings.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams to support new product development and introduction.
Qualifications :
- Several years of experience in a professional procurement role, with a focus on direct procurement preferred; indirect experience considered if paired with a strong technical background.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) is extremely beneficial as you will be working closely with engineering and R&D.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different cultures and departments.
- Professional fluency in English is essential; German language skills are beneficial but not essential.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
