About the Role :
We are looking for an enthusiastic QA Engineer to join our team in evolving Frontiers' Publishing Platform. We're currently running an organization-wide project with the aim of rebuilding our Publishing Platform, introducing a manuscript-first architecture and embedding AI Agents to streamline editorial workflows. This transformation includes a complete redesign of the User Experience, replacing legacy systems with modular, scalable services that support intelligent automation and decision-making.
As a QA Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality software by collaborating with teams, planning and executing tests, and helping drive continuous improvement. This role offers a chance to shape product quality and work alongside passionate professionals in a dynamic, innovative environment. This recruitment is for a team responsible for redesigning our business processes and implementing an orchestration and business workflow engine that would support our organization ambitions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Engage with Engineers, Product Managers, and Stakeholders to define and refine requirements, ensuring consistency and testability throughout the development cycle.
- Independently estimate, prioritize, and coordinate Quality Assurance activities for the engineering team, managing test planning and execution for each release.
- Define the scope of testing, develop detailed test plans, and execute test cases to ensure quality deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for Test Automation and contribute to the creation, expansion, and maintenance of automated tests, including executing automated suites and analysing results.
- Document, track, and manage defects according to internal team procedures and established incident and problem management processes, assisting in refining these workflows as needed.
- Monitor all stages of the software development lifecycle to identify and resolve system issues, proactively report risks, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Promote a culture of quality within the engineering team by encouraging best practices and continuous improvement in quality engineering processes.
- Follow established team and Quality Engineering processes and guidelines, proactively contributing to their refinement and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with other development teams to enhance and align quality engineering practices across the organization.
