We are seeking a talented and driven Machine Learning Engineer to join MDPI’s Data Intelligence (DI) Team. The DI team is dedicated to developing a cutting-edge data intelligence platform designed to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. Our platform integrates data from multiple sources, providing actionable insights into company performance, market dynamics, and emerging trends. In this role, you will primarily collaborate with the DI team, composed of senior and junior data scientists, while also engaging with the AI and Data Engineering teams to leverage a shared microservices-based infrastructure.

Tasks & Responsibilities

As a Machine Learning Engineer at MDPI, you will be responsible for :

• Platform Development : Contribute to the development of the Data Intelligence platform, designed to centralize data and provide advanced performance analysis, trend alerting systems, and market insights to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with the AI and Data Engineering teams to support a shared, modular system architecture, ensuring a flexible and scalable environment for machine learning and data analytics applications.
• Model Integration : Support the integration of machine learning models into the platform. This includes building APIs to deliver model outputs to a frontend interface developed in frameworks like Vue, React, or Next.js.
• Data-Driven Solutions : Develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning models that align with strategic goals, such as monitoring market trends, supporting journal performance analysis, and forecasting key business metrics.
• Advanced Engineering Features : Contribute to the creation of innovative platform features, such as automated alert systems and tools for advanced data analysis, designed to uncover insights that inform MDPI’s strategic objectives.
