StellenbeschreibungSupport in selecting blocks and sections from the archive Support in preparing for dispatch Technician / Science background (MUST be experienced in histology – previous experience as lab tech) English and German fluency (B2 or higher, written and spoken) Cryostat and FFPE cutting experience (demonstrable in CV experience) Microsoft Office (particularly Excel usage) Flexibility, sense of responsibility and precise working methods Motivation in career development (growing and learning) Ability to work in an organised manner Customer-oriented skill set (answering phone calls, and emails and interacting with clients and researchers) Strong communication skills Capacity to work independently as well as in a team Previous experience with biobanks (sample registry, etc) – is a plus, not a must
Your tasks
Tissue Bank Bern
- Registration and Management of Biobank Samples and Data
- Assist in the acquisition and handling of biological samples for research projects
- Perform tissue sectioning using a microtome and cryotome, ensuring quality and precision
- Communication with researchers and pathologists to organize sample collection and sample delivery
- Administration of biobank documents
- Devices cleaning and maintenance
- Consumables ordering
