The HSBC Bank plc, Zurich branch, provides banking services to a portfolio of large corporate customers.
The Seniorpliance Advisor will support on all Financial Crimepliance (FCC) and Regulatorypliance (RC) matters impacting the HBCH business.
This includes AML / KYC advisory, Regulatorypliance advisory (outsourcing, conduct,plaint management, etc), transaction monitoring, review and approval of high risk customers, issues management and project support on many FCC and RC change programmes.

What you will do :
Impact on the Business
- Advice and guidance to the business on HSBC Group Policy and local regulatory requirements. This includes Anti Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, Sanctions and Prohibitions, Anti Bribery and Corruption and other applicable regulatory requirements impacting business operations.
- Provide advice on new regulatory developments and related policy updates.
- Support implementation and embedding of policies, procedures and controls.
- Provide advice to management in respect of new products and services, or variations to existing products and services.
- Provide appropriatepliance training to the business where required.
- Discharge the accountabilities set out in the HSBC Global Risk FIM.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Extensive support topliance change programs.
- Manage new / emergingpliance risk issues through to resolution.
- Actively participate in appropriate internalernance meetings.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
- Ensure local procedures and controls are in place to achievepliance with HSBC Group Policy standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation and ongoingernance of thepliance function. Help drive a strongpliance culture across the business.
- Conduct AML Investigations, including review of business escalations and investigation of AML alerts generated through transaction monitoring.
- Support preparation for external audits on behalf of the local regulator.
- Ensure local issues are escalated to relevant country, region and global stakeholders.
- Coordinate country level responses and actions for AML Audits, and Assurance reviews.
- Contribute to AML and Sanctions risk assessments, including the HSBC Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment.
- Assist in the preparation of seniorernance meetings (ExCo and RMM).
- Perform ongoing analysis of the Country AML MI to provide a strategic appraisal of emerging trends, issues. Assist and support analysis and research work (where required) on emerging risk trends.
Work with the MI and Dataernance team to provide AML risk data input to recurrent and ad-hocmunications, reports and frameworks for the AML function and other interested parties.
Requirements
You should apply if you have :
- Proven knowledge of and experience in applying legal and regulatorypliance requirements.
- Advanced understanding ofmercial Banking business with practical experience inpliance, Audit or Operational Risk area, Legal background is an asset.
- Team player who can build relationships within a small team and outside thepliance function.
- Organizational skills.
- Analytical, well-informed and creative approach to problem-solving ability to work independently and to the highest level of accuracy and accountability.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision.
- Goodmunicator with strong inter-personal skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of German and French are preferred, further language skills are a plus.
