Roles and Responsibilities :
- Ensure the completion of team’s daily business deliverables and adherence to agreed Service Level Agreement and Schedule of Services.
- Diligently work with Investment Operations and other internal / external teams on process and production updates and issues relevant to completion of tasks at hand.
- Responsible for reviewing Cash and Position exceptions as part of the Recon Governance model.
- Deliver and / or quality check simple to complex data-structured dashboards. Be able to train team members in building business dashboards.
- Lead operational process improvements, recommend, and initiate tactical solutions / initiatives and actively participate on projects such as system transitions (UAT), process transformations etc.
- Aid in the successful delivery of compliance, audit, and regulatory facilitated requirements.
- Aid in the technical capability development of the team. To ensure procedures are updated and lead the annual procedure exercise.
- Aid in the preparation of Management Information reports such as data gathering, data cleansing.
- Remain updated with relevant industry development and market-specific best practices.
- Act as back-up Subject Matter Expert as required, participate in a regular program of industry-specific training and interdepartmental cross-training to ensure continuity of service and capability development.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related course.
- With at least five years related work experience.
- CISI certifications, CPA / CFA designation is an advantage.
- Project Management and Operational Excellence training / certification such as PMO, Agile - SCRUM, Six Sigma an advantage.
- Operational experience in functions related to Investments / Market Operations such as reconciliations, asset servicing, settlements, onboarding, static.
- At least intermediate knowledge on different investment products required.
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills
- Track record of continuous improvement projects leveraging Power Platform is an advantage
- Experience delivering automation projects in collaboration with Robotics and Machine Learning Technology teams is an advantage
- Knowledge in third party financial data platforms eg. OMGEO, Bloomberg is an advantage
Required Competencies :
- Has in-depth knowledge of the Investments / Markets Operations business and the different functions in the trade lifecycle.
- Basic knowledge of related Disciplines and be able to assist team members with less experience.
- Keen attention to details and with a strong analytical ability and capability to resolve complex problems and takes perspectives on existing solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and agile quick to pick-up on tight deadlines and changes in requirements.
- Strong Risk and Controls acumen attention to quality, able to perform investigation and root cause analysis on operational incidents and assist with internal and external audit and key controls activities.
- Can lead projects or project steps within a broader project, contributes to process improvements.
- Effective Facilitation and Presentation skills.
- Ability to perform quality check / controls and administer technical coaching for performance as needed.
- Client focused and ability to work on prioritizing responsibilities.
- Highly trainable and ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision.
