Data Science & Analytics Student Internship within Diagnostics’ Global Capital Investment & Real Estate
The Position

Roche Diagnostics Global Capital Investment & Real Estate (CIRE) is responsible for providing an efficient, effective and sustainable working environment for 35,000 employees of Roche Diagnostics globally.
This is done in various ways, from identifying and securing the right real estate solutions, developing the workplace strategy to understand local functional requirements, designing office layouts, constructing the facilities, controlling and approval of capital expenditure across the division in 106 countries around the world.

The Student Intern Workplace supports Global lead for Workplace Experience in the delivery of best in class workplaces and experience strategies for our employees globally.
This includes working on the continuous improvement of our global processes, tools and dialogues with our local organizations to ensure we deliver consistent, high quality and engaging workplaces within Roche Diagnostics.
The Workplace focused projects you may be involved in could include the review of our existing data lake to extrapolate key insights which will drive the data driven workplace strategies and KPIs, to supporting in the real estate demand analysis process to right size / align our office portofolio to the needs of the local organizations’ evolving requirements.
We are looking for a motivated, engaged and mature self-starter, keen to grow beyond the core responsibilities outlined below.
The core responsibilities in this internship will be :
Real Estate demand analysis process
Onboarding of the local project lead to gather required data
Analysis of data captured to develop initial recommended sqm requirements
Review and present findings and recommendations to local leadership
Improve data analysis and optimisation of existing real estate management tools
Continuous monitoring of the existing occupancy tool to ensure consistent data is captured and identify opportunities for improvement
Support to review and extrapolate critical data to drive the real estate demand analysis process and other relevant portfolio management processes
Deliver the global workplace survey across the portfolio
Manage the delivery of the survey for each location, as required
Liaise with external service provider to update and optimize the survey for each location, as required
Review data captured, prepare the workplace survey findings for each location, and present the findings to the local project team
The creative core responsibilities in this internship will be :
Analyze workplace utilization data in order to help draw conclusions on optimal asset operations
Design and implement improved data management protocols - process design and data management
Support to gather project data, analysis of said data to create charts, diagrammes and outputs to deliver an effective presentation to stakeholders
Who you are :
You are currently enrolled in your Bachelor or Master course in the fields of Data Analytics or Real Estate.
You have a technical background, with a passion for data management / analytics and telling compelling stories
Someone with high attention to detail, good communicator and strong people skills
Proficient in English , a second language is an asset
Experience with Tableau and other data tools are desired, proficiency in Google Suite (gMail, gDoc, gSheet, etc.) is beneficial.
