Research Chemist

Mission :

• Follows broad frameworks to operate equipment needed to carry out trial work, and to ensure samples are available and delivered on time.
• Resolves routine issues with minimal senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval.

Scope :

• support the development new synthesis routes and processes taking safety, scalable, sustainability and cost-effectiveness into account.
• planning of organic reactions with consideration of safe laboratory practice
• Undertake organic reactions in the laboratory, using a wide range of synthetic and purification skills
• Ability to employ analytical techniques to analyse reactions and samples (incl. TLC, IR, GC, LC, NMR, MS)
• Optimize chemical processes and workflows
• Exvellent protocolling and reporting of scientific data and progress
• communication skills in an international and diverse environment

Skills :

• Technical chemistry education, or a BS or MS in Organic Chemistry. Industrial experience would be advantageous
• Good knowledge of English
• strong knowledge of theoretical and practical organic chemistry and organic synthesis
• Expertise and experience in a modern chemical laboratory environment
• team working skills and independent working
• Excellent understanding of purification techniques
• Basic skills with Excel, Word and Powerpoint
