Role Description

  • This is a temporary one year role as a Project Manager located in Schachen (Luzern), Switzerland
  • Job location : Schachen, on site, with potential for 1 day of remote work per week
  • Start date : 02 / 06 / 2024
  • End date : 31 / 05 / 2025 (with extension possibility)

This role encompasses several key responsibilities :

  • Implementation of Global Engineering Standards : Ensure that GWES activities and assets at the WAG site comply with global engineering standards and programs, including managing projects to meet these requirements.
  • Project Management : Supervise project execution to ensure compliance with procurement policies and engineering standards, as well as manage a safety program for project execution, including EHS-related topics.
  • Reliability Engineering : Oversee an active Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) program utilizing standard reliability tools to determine asset condition, criticality, and replacement priorities.
  • Sustainability : Lead the GENIUS program for energy improvement and act as the point of contact for sustainability-related projects and initiatives, developing a transition plan to achieve net zero carbon emissions for the WAG site.
  • Support for Site Clients and GWES Strategies : Provide support to site clients in understanding GWES priorities, strategies, and projects, and take proactive actions to add value through innovation and operational excellence.
  • Compliance : Represent GWES for engineering compliance programs and foster a culture of safety, quality, and engineering standards compliance across stakeholders at the WAG site and with outsourced IFM providers.
  • Culture, Leadership, and Development : Adapt Facility Management behaviors to align with Leadership Behaviors, promote a values-driven culture of diversity and inclusion, and actively participate in personal and employee development programs to enhance personal effectiveness and interpersonal skills.

Major / Certification :

  • Required : Industrial Engineering for Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred : Environmental Engineering or Energy Engineering for Master's degree

Additional Requirements :

  • Fluency in English and German (German proficiency is necessary for understanding legal aspects)
  • Engineering background is a must, along with project management experience
  • Experience Level : 5 to 8 years
  • Industry experience in pharma, food or power plants is preferred, with GMP experience being advantageous
  • Experience in Sustainability is preferred
