RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop membrane modules based on market requirements, in compliance with necessary legal regulation (e.g pressure vessel) for all membrane businesses.
- Identify and capture evolving market and membrane technology, providing direction and guidance to the membrane technological roadmap.
- Lead, coordinate, moderate or otherwise participate in international and interdisciplinary teams globally that focus membrane technology (module design, membrane and module manufacturing technologies).
- Act as technology management interface / liaison with other engineering disciplines and / or external partners to ensure optimal / successful field operation for (pilot) plant start-ups and commissioning of our membrane modules.
- Organize & lead troubleshooting exercises internal and especially at customers site, when implementing new products into production / operation, as well as develop counter measures.
- Develop, establish and revise manufacturing procedures, design and specify the purpose / specification for manufacturing equipment in general.
- Steer technical discussions as Principal Engineer in strategically important and selected customer meetings to support membrane business activities.
- Validating and equipping of new OEM partners for all membrane markets, integrating Evonik’s technology into their product portfolio.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master s degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the membrane technology industry
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in membrane design and manufacturing
- Proven ability to drive innovation and develop new membrane design concepts and methods of module manufacturing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and can-do attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a global and cross-functional team environment
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Flexible working enviroment
