FANUC Italy is looking for Application Engineer Laser

Major Accountabilities

• Technical support on FANUC laser technology (CO2 / fiber) including cut-ting / welding test and optimization in order to demonstrate and achieve customer requirements.
• Support customers during CNC / Robot setup, axes tuning, motion pro-gramming and trajectory control improvement.
• Support sales team during pre and post sales activity at MTB’s and End User, keeping them constantly updated on all FANUC new prod-ucts, features and capabilities.
• Provides products practical explanations for cabling, connection, con-figuration of CNC, Robot and Laser system including 3rd party laser system with interface to CNC / Robot.
• Maintains close relationship with customers’ technical personnel (de-sign, development, in order to recognize new requirements and potential problems and at the same time keeps the customer technical-ly informed about new products, features and development.
• Reports to the Application Manager, Application Team Leader and Technical Manager all info’s on products deficiencies closely following up solutions in order to avoid excessive customers’ dissatisfaction or damages with any action to be taken in positive and proposing way.
• Issues timely the field report for each job performed, writing all the re-sults / data collected during the assigned task.
• Stay in close contact with European Technical Support (ETS) at FEC / FEG as well as with FHQ laboratories to create and maintain a customer’s positive experience.
• Supports professionally products in DEMO and during Shows and Machine Tools exhibitions (. BIMU, EMO) giving all the needed sup-port during the Booth building preparation and the booth manning pe-riod for the Sales Activity.

Requirements

• High school diploma Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or similar
• At least 2-4 year experience in development of application with Laser Systems
• Understanding of software programming theory and practice
• FANUC software experience will be considered an advantage
• High level language programming (. C++, C#) and industrial image pro-cessing will be considered a plus
• Good spoken and written English is mandatory
• Good presence and ability to communicate to all kind of representa-tives
• Understanding of factory automation processes and functionality
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
• Good comprehension and ability to analyse and solve problems
• Self- motivated, results oriented, mindedness and independent per-sonality
