Post doctoral researcher in bladder cancer Immunity
Contexte
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) in one of five Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medecine of the University of Lausanne and The EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the areas of medical care, medical research and training.
The mission of the Urology Research Unit is to better understand bladder tumor immunity to develop new treatments. We recently showed that unconventional gamma / delta T cells may play a significant role in bladder tumor control.
Therefore, the aim of this project is to unveil the intrinsic features of gamma / delta T cells, and thus better understand their role and functions in bladder cancer patients.
Mission
You will be part of the Urology Research Unit, a research group within the department of Urology at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV).
Primary mission will be to interrogate, by single-cell RNA sequencing, the cellular heterogeneity of gamma / delta T cells from bladder cancer patients and validate the results at the protein level and functionally.
Profil
- PhD in tumor immunology and strong experience in molecular biology, particularly single-cell RNA sequencing, and immunofluorescence labeling.
- Knowledge in bioinformatic analysis is an asset
- High degree of motivation and creativity for new projects
- Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills
- Capacity to work collaboratively with other group members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English (French is a plus).
