General Description :
The Director, Communications and Change management, reporting to the Head of Global Quality Excellence, will be responsible for designing and leading the organization's communication strategies that promote and foster a Culture of Quality across the organization.
The candidate will also be responsible for leading, managing, and ensuring successful adoption of change initiatives within the organization, typically on a global scale.
This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering the narrative via different communication channels to ensuring all changes within the organization are communicated effectively for timely implementation.
Essential Functions of the job :
Create and oversee comprehensive communication strategies that support the Quality Excellence mission, vision, and business objectives.
Ensure consistent messaging across all internal and external channels.Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, crafting and delivering Quality communications on behalf of Head of Global Quality and the functions that resonate with diverse audiences, including employees and stakeholders to enable Quality branding robustness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Commercial, Regulatory, and other business units to ensure the Quality function is in alignment with corporate guidelines and best practices, including handling any quality-related incidents or recalls and ensuring prompt, clear, effective and timely communication.
- Develop internal campaigns to promote a Culture of Quality by designing and implementing a clear communication program, including newsletters, intranet content, and workshops that enhance employee engagement, increase morale, and promote a unified corporate Culture of Quality within Global quality and beyond
- Build and maintain relationships with regional and local quality teams as well as non-quality functions to tailor messaging that resonates with different cultural and operational contexts
- Design and implement a structured methodology for change management and lead change management activities, including changes to business processes, systems, and technology.
The candidate will work closely with the Quality leadership team, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure that organizational goals are met by increasing employee engagement, reducing resistance, and ensuring effective communication throughout the change process.
- Identify potential challenges and resistance to change, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and resistance
- Promote collaboration and continuous feedback throughout the change process
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of change initiatives
- Track and report progress of change initiatives, evaluating the effectiveness of change management efforts
- Work with business leaders to ensure long-term sustainability of changes and continuous improvement
- Develop initiatives to embed a culture of quality throughout the organization, ensuring all employees understand and embrace the importance of maintaining high standards
- Designing and implementing program for reporting feedback from individuals to the Quality leadership to continuously improve the quality communication and change strategy
- Develop a tool to highlight and share success stories and key takeaways by looking at the successful outcomes and lessons learned of continuous improvement projects, by listening to team members and their customers for evidence that quality culture is improving then create a cohesive and impactful communication globally
- Create an environment where employees feel safe to exchange and willing to participate to this transformational change, by enabling a positive impact mindset shift and behaviours
- Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Individual contributor, operating and reporting in a matrixed team, using strong technical and leadership experience to influence Quality leaders and staff without direct authority
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline
- Min 10+ years of experience in change management, organizational development, or transformation leadership roles
- Experience leading global communication initiatives, preferably in a manufacturing, healthcare, or regulated industry, using different communication channels and strategies with the ability to convey complex quality-related concepts clearly and persuasively
- Proven experience leading large-scale organizational change initiatives, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and employee engagement during times of change
- Emotional intelligence and a people-centric approach to manage resistance to change
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong internal cross-functional network
- Experience using communication tools and platforms for global messaging (intranets, digital media, newsletters, etc.)
- Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information using excellent discretion and judgment
- Experience with global multi-national companies is highly desired, demonstrating ability to collaborate across functions, time zones and cultures, and in a matrixed environment
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) required, other languages are a plus
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and be reliable and responsive
- Ability to be flexible and agile and willing to accept new responsibilities as needed
Computer Skills :
- Strong PC literacy
- Mastery level Microsoft Outlook skills
- Proficient with SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools such as O365, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint Online; as well as communications tools
Travel :
Up to 10% worldwide
