Position Overview

Aktiia is seeking a highly talented and experienced iOS Product Designer to join our team in Europe. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in discovering the right product, shaping the user experience and interface design of our iOS app.

The Product Designer will collaborate with the product team from product discovery through prototyping and user testing, up to communicating with our engineers for product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the UI and UX design process for Aktiia's iOS app, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Create high-fidelity prototypes and mockups to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
• Collaborate closely with the product manager to analyze competition, conduct product discovery and gather insights for strategic decision-making.
• Communicate effectively with our development team to translate design into functionality.
• Develop innovative interaction design solutions that enhance the usability and engagement of our app.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices in holistic product design, incorporating new ideas and techniques into Aktiia's products and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in UI / UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creative vision.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar software.
• Familiarity with iOS frameworks and how they affect design (e.g., SwiftUI, UIKit), to ensure designs are feasible within platform constraints.
• Strong ability to identify design problems and devise elegant solutions tailored for the iOS platform.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in fast-paced, iterative development cycles.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Fluency in English.

Ideal but not required

• Demonstrated expertise in web design
• Prior experience in the healthcare or medical technology industry is a plus.
