Batch Scheduler Mainframe

Cognizant is looking for a Batch Scheduler Mainframe within one of our main clients and to support batch production, testing and scheduling.

This Mainframe Batch Operator role is based in Zurich, Switzerland , and it comes with a favourable salary and benefits.

As a Batch Scheduler Mainframe , you will monitor mainframe and distributed environment batch processes in real time and on a shift basis, using tools such as Control-M Enterprise Manager V9, TSO, ISPF, ServiceNow, (SNOW), etc.

In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to :

• Manage incidents and analyse problems in a complex, multi-tiered environment with remote installations
• Utilise Job Control Language (JCL) knowledge to resolve batch job issues independently
• Respond to alerts and follow standard procedures for escalations.

To apply for this Batch Schduler role, you will need relevant experience in Control-M Monitoring and Scheduling within Distributed Systems and Mainframe environments, including JCL handling.

You will also require the following :

• Familiarity with ITIL concepts for Incident and Problem management processes
• 2-5 years of experience in similar system-controlling positions, preferably within the banking sector or a related field
• Knowledge of ZOS, JES2 / JES3, IMS, TSO, ISPF and DB2.
